The Appleton Lacroose Club is an organization made up of student athletes from the three Appleton Area School District high schools. Back in July 2003, the preparation and concept for the team began with co-founders Ross Hoeffner (Appleton West High School) and Adam Schemm (Appleton North High School). In February 2004, Mike Wenzel becomes the head coach and the first practice takes place on March 2004 at Lincoln Elementary school in Appleton. April 2004 brought the first game versus Neenah High school. The last game of the inaugural season was on June 2004 against Bay Port. The inaugural year season record was 2-8. The team continued to grow and in 2006 become the 2006 Wisconsin Lacrosse Federation State Champs with their 9-5 victory over Arrowhead Union High School. We look forward to many rewarding seasons in the future and applaud the efforts of the fine athletes that contribute their talent and energy, the parents who support their child's dedication to the sport of lacrosse, and our sponsors, fans and friends that make the Appleton Lacrosse Club a success. |
